Hossam Ramzy
Hossam Ramzy played Egyptian Tabla on Camel Belly Dance as well as some world percussion on other tracks of the album. Born in Cairo, Hossam is Egypt's leading percussionist, and came to the UK in the 1970s. He has worked with many leading artists including Peter Gabriel, Joan Armatrading and Mary Wilson. Hossam had a number one dance hit in 2001 with 'Edony'. He received gold and platinum discs for his work with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant on their reunion album 'No Quarter - Unledded'. He also received a platinum disc from ARC records as their top selling artist. To date, Hossam has released no less than 30 albums for Egyptian dance and has produced many top leading artists from all over the world.
