The Stanford String Quartet

 

The Stanford String Quartet played on Little Bird, Elephant Dance, Camel Belly Dance and Little Bird Reprise for the Music Start CD. Three sisters, Laura, Eleanor and Amy Stanford, together with cellist Jessica Cox form the quartet. They have won numerous prizes including the Sir Arthur Bliss competition in 2001.

The quartet perform recitals across the UK, including The London Bach Festival, The Bloomsbury International Concert Series, Warwick Arts Society and the Nottinghamshire Arts Festival. They have also performed a series of concerts at Bush Hall. The members of the quartet have individual teaching experience and have worked on educational workshops with The London String Quartet Foundation and Music Box among others.
