The National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) has announced that it will work alongside Youth Music and an array of other big brands for its "healthy body, happy me" campaign. The campaign will be promoted through children's nurseries across the UK in January 2008.

NDNA has been promoting the importance of healthy lifestyles for young children for many years. With the growing problem of obesity and health problems in children, NDNA is focusing its efforts on helping nurseries develop the skills to help children stay happy and healthy. The "healthy body, happy me" campaign will run during 2008 with an official "healthy body, happy me" week taking place from 10 - 14 March. On that week, Friday's theme will be "make some noise" sponsored by Bongo Club, as part of Youth Music. As part of this day, nurseries will be encouraged to participate in music related activities.

Prior to the "healthy body, happy me" week, NDNA will be providing nurseries with a "healthy body, happy me" pack which will include goodies to make activities extra special and effective. Nurseries will be able to access further resources from NDNA for the "healthy body, happy me" week such as information on how to plan an event, a sample press release, and how to inform parents about the "healthy body, happy me" campaign.

Julie Bower, Marketing Manager at NDNA, comments, "At NDNA, we believe a healthy child is a happy child and we want to promote this through our campaign whilst showing that a healthy lifestyle can be fun for both adults and children. We are excited to have some fantastic brands on board with us for this year's campaign, and we enjoy working with brands that share our ethical stance towards healthy lifestyles. We work with nurseries right across the UK and believe sponsorship of this important campaign will give great outcomes for both parties."
