Neneh Cherry talks to Bongo Club about bringing up her children in a house full of musical sounds.

International singer songwriter Neneh Cherry has always been surrounded by music, so it naturally became a large part of her children's lives as they grew up. Two of Neneh Cherry's albums were recorded while she was pregnant and both her and her husband's musical careers have always meant that music has been around the house more or less constantly!

"They've all been subjected to music pretty much 24/7 all the way through their various upbringings due to mine and my husband's careers!" says Cherry. "But funnily enough three of the four are either making music or at music schools so something must have stuck! I believe that exposure to all the arts is vital for a rounded growth in a child."
